What We Do
antique toy authentication services

We offer antique toy and antique advertising authentication services for collections of all sizes. Whether you need one piece authenticated or an entire collection, we will work with you to meet your needs.

What Makes Us Different

We are the only authentication service in the United States that focuses solely on antique toys and advertising collectibles.

We don't charge different fees based on the value of the item we are authenticating. Whether your item is valued at $50 or $5,000 - our authentication fee is the same.

Pricing / Fees

Our pricing structure is the same for toys and advertising items.

  • Single items cost $25 per item

  • Five or more items evaluated at the same time are $20 per item.

  • Contact us for quotes on authentication services for 20 or more items or for complete collections. We do offer on-site services for large collections (based on availability, travel schedules and/or shows near you that we are attending

  • At this time, there are no subscription or membership fees to utilize our database or our authentication services.

OG Co. Grading System

We assign a numeric grade to items we authenticate, based on a 10-point scale. A perfect "10" is mostly impossible, but we won't rule it out completely. There could be a flawless, dead mint item out there somewhere, but it would be extremely rare.

It's important to note that the items we authenticate can be fragile and easily damaged in the days, weeks and years after receiving an assigned grade. As such, OG Company grade values are only valid on the day they are assigned.

Here is the point system we use to assign grade values:

We start at 10 and make deductions for imperfections, visible damage and other contributing factors (for instance, a wind-up toy not working properly is a significant deduction).

  • 9.25 - 9.75 (Mint) = item has area(s) of extremely minor imperfections or potential factory flaws. Probably not noticeable without very close examination of the item. Otherwise the item is in excellent condition.

  • 9.0 (Near mint) = item has more areas and/or more noticeable imperfections but is still in near mint condition.

  • 8.0 - 8.75 (Excellent) = item has noticeable imperfections but is still in excellent overall condition. No major flaws, but several imperfections holding the item back from a higher grade (lacking gloss, shine, minor fading of color, etc).

  • 7.0 - 7.75 (Very good) = item has at least one area of minor damage, noticeable wear or minor staining/fading/paint loss, but the item is in very good overall condition and very presentable.

  • 6.0 - 6.5 (Good) = item has several areas of damage, wear, fading or missing minor areas of material (deterioration from age, rot or the item has been cut or broken). Item could have color loss, fading, lacking areas of original finish. A slightly better than average example of the item.

  • 5.0 - 5.5 (Average) = item has several areas of significant damage, significant wear or missing several areas of material (deterioration from age, rot or the item has been cut or broken). Items grading in this range have 20-30% total surface area damage, wear, fading or paint loss and just above items grading in the "Fair" range.

  • 4.0 (Fair) = item has multiple areas of significant damage throughout and missing material (deterioration from age, rot or the item has been cut or broken). Items grading in this range have 30-40% total surface area damage, wear, fading or paint loss and just above items grading in the "Poor" range.

  • Authentic = items in condition less than 4.0 (Fair) are not assigned a grade number but will be cataloged as "Authentic"
